"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

WE MUST HAVE THE CORRECT INSTRUCTION MANUAL

“Study to show thy self approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

I was prayed and asking the Holy Spirit for this post and I love to read from different versions of the Bible, the KJV is my “go to” version, but I love all the versions.

I was looking in one of my bookcases and I saw a book entitled “The Instruction Manual for Welding.”  It was a very old book so I guess it is one of my husband’s books, he used to do a lot of welding for himself on the farm.  It was funny to me, “I said “yes, I do need an instruction Manual, but I don’t think this book will do me any good for my post.”

The verse above from 2 Timothy 2:15, jumped right in my spirit, to show ourselves worthy and unashamed before God is to STUDY the WORD OF GOD. Not only study the Word of God, but to KNOW the word of God, to digest it’s words in our spirit man, where nothing or no one can ever remove them from us.

If we study and read every version of the WORD, but yet do not rightly divide the words, (rightly understand the meaning of the words), we have accomplished nothing.

To rightly divide the WORD, I must read, study, and study some more, that is where the different versions of the Bible are so helpful to me.  I also must look up the verses in a concordance, in Bible commentaries and other study helps I need to pray until I can see and understand what the Holy Spirit is trying to impart into my spirit about what these words I have read, really do mean.

I have read so many scriptures time after time and gotten a different golden nugget of wisdom from them time after time, that does not mean the Word is not the same it just means that there is an unending supply of strength for us in every verse.

A verse of scripture can give us comfort when we read it and later we can read it again and we will notice something from the same verse that we never realized before and the very same verse will uplift and comfort us for the need for that moment.

My precious readers, read and study the WORD, in these times we live it is the only thing that can carry us through until Jesus comes to take His Bride home.

Blessings in Jesus Name, Love Gloria

THANKSGIVING

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.” Psalm 69:30 (KJV)
In November we take the time to be thankful for all our blessings, (i.e.) family, children, grandchildren, friends, church, jobs, wonderful spouses, and the list goes on and on.

If we took a tablet and pencil and just started jotting down all the blessings we are so thankful for, then as we wrote, it would begin to come into our hearts and minds all the blessings that we take for granted.  Blessings we sometimes forget to be thankful for.

The greatest blessing we have to be thankful for is that before time began, God planned for His Son The Word, to come into this world; born of a virgin;  be named Jesus, grow up and willingly give His life and shed every drop of His Precious Holy Blood on the cross  at Calvary to redeem mankind of their sins.  If Jesus had not been willing there would have never been a way that we could ever live in Heaven with God forever and eternally.

How, do you ask can a person such as I, live with God in heaven eternally? The answer; the same way I am going to, by accepting Jesus into your heart, ask Him to forgive every sin you have ever committed and let His Precious Blood wash your sins away, though your sins were black as coal when Jesus’ blood washes them, they become as white as the whitest wool.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16 (NIV)
I pray that you will not let this Thanksgiving go by without accepting Jesus as your personal Savior and The Lord of your life.

The fact that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior is my greatest thing I have to be thankful for.  Please accept Him as your Personal Savior and say with me,”Jesus you are my greatest blessing.  I am thankful for you more than anything else in the world AMEN.”

My precious readers Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Blessings Gloria.
