father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in
uprightness of heart with You. You have
continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on
his throne, as it is this day. Now O
LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I
am a little child, I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of your people
whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or

asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold I have done
according to your words, see, I have given you a wise and understand heart, so
that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you
arise after you. And I have also given you
what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be
anyone like you among the kings all your days.

“But we request of you, brethren that you appreciate those
who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the LORD and give
you instruction and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their
work.” I Thessalonians 5:12, 13 (NASB)

We are to respect our pastor and his family for the
countless value they are to the church and also to the community.

The flock is to know their pastor well enough to have an
intimate appreciation of the many hours and sacrifice’s he makes to pastor and
to spiritually nurture each of his sheep.
No one but God knows how many hours our pastor studies the WORD and
prays for his flock. There are many
nights he is awakened in the wee hours of the morning with a heavy burden on
his heart to pray and intercede for a church member or a member of the
community.

His work in God’s chosen vineyard for him and his family is
continually laboring and working sometimes to the point of exhaustion; he is
“on call 24/7”. He stands before his
flock to lead them in the way of righteousness, and instructing them in the
truths of God’s WORD.

The pastor’s calling is from the Throne Room of God, and
there is no backing out if the going gets tough. That is why the prayer warriors of each
church are to hold their pastor and his family on their priority list of
prayer. Satan is always out to try to
make a pastor slip and fall, because the world is always watching and looking
for something to use against the church.
Please never, never let a day go by that you do not pray and intercede
for your pastor and his family. Just as
Aaron and Hur held up the hands of Moses in a great battle against the enemy,
so that a great victory would be won, we must hold our pastor’s hands up through prayer and
fasting. He cannot do it alone but must have all his sheep holding him up to God
for strength and guidance.

In addition to knowing our pastor well and to remember to
pray for him and his wife and family daily.
(Not just an “I lay me down to sleep, oh yeah, Lord remember my pastor,
I’m sure he had to do a little something or other today for the church.) But to
earnestly, wholeheartedly, shed some Holy Ghost felt tears for the heavy burden
he carries for each of his sheep. A true
pastor feels responsible for the welfare and well being and the salvation of
each one of us.

We are to esteem our pastor highly as a true servant, called
by God. Congregations are to think
rightly and lovingly of their pastors. Not because of their charm or
personality or preciousness, but because of the fact that they work for the
Chief Shepherd as His special shepherd to his flock of sheep that God has
entrusted to him..

meaning that when we enter the parking lot of the church we should be
prayed up and ready to praise. We should come into His House with a thanksgiving
praise on our lips and a thanksgiving song in our hearts, in other words we
should be ready to praise Him.

blessing to our church, not to just go and get a blessing, BUT TO BE A
BLESSING.! Let us ask the Holy Spirit to
open our spiritual eyes to see the needs of others, we do not have to know
their need, we just have to be aware of the need to pray for them, and to ask
Gods’ blessings on their lives and their needs.

teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “ When ye pray, say: “Our
Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Your will be
done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Luke 11:1-2 NKJV

This is known as “The Lords’ prayer, but Jesus’ disciples’
had watched and heard Him pray. They
knew that He prayed constantly and fervently and they wanted the same kind of
relationship with God that Jesus had. They
wanted to know how to pray to God the Father, just as they saw and heard Jesus
pray to the Father.

How many times have we said the Lord’s Prayer and used the word’s
“Thy will be done on earth as in heaven”, and not given them really a second
thought of what we REALLY are
saying? When we say “Thy
will be done,” we are saying God I give this situation entirely to you. I will
accept your decision on how best to take care of it. I now leave it entirely up
to you, I will pray constantly for your will to be done and I am convinced that
the way you answer will be the best. You
are eternal, all knowing and all powerful; God, you know the beginning from the
end only YOU know the best answer to this need. I am leaving the answer
entirely up to you, not my will but Yours be done in this matter.

Dear Reader this is not playing around with God this is
complete trust in God to make the best decision for the problem, and to bring
honor and glory to His Name, and to cover us completely with His love and His Mercy
for us.

The Bible tells us to “pray without ceasing”, not just when
there is an emergency or crisis, praying without ceasing is to be in a constant
communication with God, keeping in mind that His greatest desire is for us to
be his children, obedient to His Word and live our lives completely committed to His Will for our lives.

If Gods’ Will is not what we personally wanted, or prayed
for, the spiritual part of us will automatically seek to be at peace with Gods’
answer, but the earthly, fleshly part of us will be sad, sometimes mad, angry
and so very confused.

Dear friends God
knows this and He wants us to climb up in His Lap and ask Him to hold us while
we cry. If we listen we can hear Him gently speak to us as we Hear His Precious
Holy Spirit say to us, “My child I love you, go ahead and cry it is okay, My
child when you hurt, I hurt also, just keep trusting me and I will help you get
to the place in your love and faith in my Love for you, that you will be able
to go on with life until you can be at peace with my answer for this problem.

Love God with all your heart, mind and being, He will NEVER
LEAVE OR FORSAKE US, BUT WILL GO WITH US TO THE END.
down, and be faithful to remember that our timing is not His. We are to keep
praying and studying His Word to keep the message from Him fresh until His appointed

will live in minute to minute time, but when He takes us to live with Him

dear reader, where do they think they got the strength and the sweat to do the
hard work? Yes you are right they got it
from God. God is so merciful with people
He gives them so many chances to live for Him every day He is patient and kind

I had often wondered just why God would say His Name is I-AM.

I prayed and asked God, "Why did you tell Moses that your name is I-AM?"

The other night God woke me up out of a sound sleep, I guess that is the only time He can get to me when I am quiet, and give me His Word.

The Holy Spirit began just pouring thoughts into my mind, it was like He had lifted the top off my head and just began pouring it into my brain.

Just think, I-AM, IS ALL SUFFICIENT, ALL KNOWING, ALWAYS PRESENT EVERYWHERE AT ONCE, THERE IS NO DEFICIENCY IN GOD, NO LACKING IN GOD, NO BLEMISH IN GOD, NOTHING IS BEYOND HIS DOING, NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD TO FIX OR TO ACCOMPLISH.

NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, IS TOO HARD OR TOO MUCH FOR GOD, HE IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE I-AM. NOTHING CATCHES HIM BY SURPRISE OR IS HE EVER UNAWARE OF THE NEEDS OF HIS CHILDREN.

How you ever asked yourself,"Can God be my I-AM? I am so glad you wanted to know. Dear Precious readers, before the world was formed God has a plan for you and me to know Him as our I-AM.

"Jesus said unto them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures:'The stone which he builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

"For God so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten Son , that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 NKJV) GOD loved us so much that He prepared a way for us to live forever with Him, by sending His only Son Jesus Christ to be born from a virgin girl as a baby on this earth, grow up and give His life and every drop of blood in His body to cover our sins. By accepting that blood to cover our sins and repenting to Him of our sins and living each day with the goal of pleasing Him and telling others of the saving grace of Jesus Christ we can and will live with Him forever.

Ephesians 2:19-22, (NKJV) "Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets.

Precious readers please allow THE I-AM-THAT-I-AM, BE YOUR I-AM-THAT-I-AM, after all that is really the most important thing you can or will ever do.
PLEASE BE READY!!!"Jesus said the her, "I am (Myself) the Resurrection and the Life. Whosoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in and relies on) Me, Although he may die yet he shall live." John 3:16 Amplified

When we accept Jesus into our hearts by faith because of His Supreme Sacrifice for everyone by His freely giving His life and shedding His blood as an innocent Lamb on the cross, we also accept the eternal life that our faith in Him brings to us.

If we die before His return for His redeemed people, those that died in faith believing that they will live eternally with God in Heaven will hear the trumpet sound on the day of His returning to gather up His redeemed souls.

The dead in Christ will rise first then those which are still alive on this earth will join them in the air to live forever with our Savior. Just imagine He has been preparing a home for His redeemed for over 2000 years now, the Bible tells us that we can never comprehend with our human minds what our heavenly home will be like.

Dear precious reader, please stay in the Word of God as much as you can. The "day of the Lord" is very, very near. I know that we have heard all our lives that the coming of the Lord is near. It is nearer now than it has ever been. Please stay in the Word, stay in prayer. Keep your lives in sync with Jesus and know at all times that all is right between you and God. Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit in your mind and heart He will never lead you astray, but will keep you close to God.You can know that you are ready to hear the trumpet sound that will take His redeemed home to be with Him forever, eternally without end.

Precious reader if we do not heed the calling of the Holy Spirit drawing us to accept Jesus as our personal savior and we miss hearing the trumpet sound as Jesus calls His redeemed home to Himself, those that are left upon this earth will experience the most tragic and terrible time that has ever been upon this earth.

God, who has been so loving and patient with us will remove His mercy and a time of seven years of tribulation will cover this earth. Please do not take the chance of missing out on hearing the trumpet sound, signaling the Lords' return to take His believers home. Nothing, NO NOTHING, is worth missing His coming for His believers and having to live through the seven awful, terrible years of the time of tribulation.

Please, right now, bow your head and repent of your sins and wrong doing and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. It is so simple to become a child of God (1) Admit that you are a sinner, (2) Believe that Jesus died on the cross just for you to forgive you of your sins, (3) Confess your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of every sin, Not only will He forgive you of everything you have ever done that you thought was too terrible to be forgiven of, but he will wash you as white as snow, you are now a NEW creature in Jesus Christ. Tell someone, "I am a new creature in Jesus Christ". I have given up my old ways Jesus has put a new nature in me. Find a good Bible believing Church and start attending. Read the Word diligently and pray every chance you get, each time you think you have made a mistake and do not be afraid that you will sin and not know it, the Holy Spirit will gently nudge you and tell you not to do that. And if we do sin all we have to do is ask for Jesus' forgiveness and GO on from there a new creature. God has forgotten your past do not let satan remind you of it ever again, it is gone it has been covered by the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS.

"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave up His only begotten (unique) Son so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting life).
This morning in my prayer chair, I felt such an awesome presence of God, and I said, "Oh God speak to my spirit, let me be quiet and concentrate on what You have to say to me."

In my spirit I heard Jesus say to me, "Oh my child I have known you before you were created in your mother's womb, and I gave you an early sense of my presence when you were just a child."

"Even though you did not follow me closely through your teen years you always had a "knowing" that I was there. I have kept you from many dangers and harm even when you did not walk hand in hand with me,"

""I was so filled with Joy and Love for you when at age 24 you turned your heart and life completely over to me, as you let my blood wash away all your sins and mistakes."

" I have been with you and your husband and children through life's good times, and I have given you the faith and courage to walk, to walk with Me through the hard times. But remember everything in this life good or bad can not ever compare to the joys laid up in Heaven, for you and everyone that accepts me as their Personal Savior."

"I am coming soon so be like the Apostle Paul and say with Him, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Heretofore there there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord the Righteous Judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all of them also that love his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV

Precious reader I hope that you also have a special prayer chair that you get alone with God every day and just ask Him to speak to your spirit, and just commune with in the unity of a quiet spirit of love and togetherness. REMEMBER, HE IS YOUR DEAREST FRIEND FOREVER!!
I Peter 5:7 Amplified

"Cast your burden on the LORD [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you: He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved, (made to slip, fall, or fail). Psalm 55:22 Amplified

As I read my devotion this morning, the title was "Spirit Sounds, from God Calling, published by Barbour". The house was empty so I just sat there in my "prayer chair", and was silent just wanting to hear nothing but the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit.

I had been going through some difficult days and God knew that I needed to be silent in His presence and let His precious Holy Spirit renew my mind, my heart and most importantly my worship to Him. I can never enter the presence of God without a praise to Him. Even though I was silent, my spirit was praising Him. It was though I was one with the Trinity [God the Father, Jesus the Savior, and the Holy Spirit of God].

I do not know how long I silently sat in His Presence, but I could feel my mind and my body relaxing and becoming one with God. It felt like I was being completely renewed both physically, mentally and most of all spiritually, all anxiety was gone.

In a few moments I felt the Holy Spirit speak to my mind to hold out my hands, palms down and to empty everything in my life that was dragging me down, every problem, EVERYTHING in my life that did not uplift Jesus, to let it go let it all fall from my hands and let Him take them. I obeyed His instructions and I literally felt the weights of life's trials fall out of my hands as I let go of them. In a few moments I heard in my spirit to turn my palms up to receive what God had for me for this moment, this day, in His Word the Bible, Jesus speaks to us in Matthew 6:34, Amplified, "Do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble". Precious readers we have no promise of a tomorrow, we must leave that to our Father God who knows ALL. Then I felt the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit. "Now lift your hands into the air and praise Me out loud, what a glorious time of praise I enjoyed with God. How renewed and refreshed I was and my mind and body and spirit was in tune once again with God. I felt a complete renewal in my walk with God. Please get alone with God often, just be silent and let His Holy Spirit speak to your spirit, He really enjoys being alone with you as much as you will enjoy it.

Precious readers, we must take time regularly to be "silent" in God's presence and let Him do all the talking. When we do this by being silent in His presence, He can truly speak to us and renew us, our minds, our bodies and our spirit so that in our daily walk with Him, His thoughts will be our thoughts and His wishes for us will be our wishes for ourselves, and we can be "His Hands" on this earth to reach out to others in need and lead them to Christ Jesus; after all that is our immediate and ultimate task in this world is to show others Jesus through our lives.

Time is short. Jesus is coming soon for those who have accepted His provision for us that He prov ided to all mankind by freely giving His life and shedding His precious blood on the cross 2000 years ago. "For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life". John 3:16 Amplified When we accept Jesus as our Savior, and let His precious Blood cover all of our sins and wickedness, and His Blood will cover all our sins and wickness, they will be covered by His Blood and forgotten by God. Then we leave the past behind and go forward from that moment on to live our lives for Jesus Christ and read and study His Word (the Bible), we must immediately find a Bible believing church and get involved with others that their lives have been made new by the Blood of Jesus, and dear friend that is everyone that is a Christian. A Christian is our name after we have accepted the provision that Jesus made for us to become a new creature in Him. We are new like a new born baby and as we read and study His Word, talk (pray) to Him every day all during the day, you will grow in your walk in God and you will build up your faith in Him and you will lead others to this saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and His gift of eternal life to everyone that accepts Him as their personal Savior. You may say I don't know how to talk to God. Just talk to Him like you would your best friend and He is the BEST FRIEND you will ever have. Grow closer to Him each day, witness to your friends and if they will not believe you or if they ridicule you for believing in Jesus, just pray for them each day and by your living a completely new life, you will show them that you are sincere and life in Jesus is real. Get involved with new friends that believe in Jesus and ask them questions, join a good sound Bible discussion group. Sunday School is the best group there is and be consistant in your new walk in God.
In 2001 my daughter had a special hand made necklace made for me at her favorite jewelers. She and the jeweler worked together to get just the right design. It is a beautiful delicate creation, I loved it at once. While she and I were admiring the necklace she noticed a small piece that the jeweler had neglected to attach properly. She asked me to put the necklace in a safe container and when she returned home she would take it back to the jeweler and have it repaired. So I put it away in a safe place.
When she started to go back home I forgot to give her the necklace and when she arrived at home she called me and ask me to find the necklace and send it to her certified and insured.

Well, I could not find the piece of jewelry anywhere I looked I was broken hearted and she said, "mama just keep on looking I am sure you will find it."

Dear readers that was ten years ago, over the years I would go into a drawer where I keep stuff, you know the stuff you keep just because, and I would always notice a small porcelain box, I would wonder what if anything was in the box but I never took time to open the box to look inside.

Last week I was looking for something in the drawer and again I saw the small porcelain box, I picked up the box and shook it and heard a sound, I wondered what could be inside, so, I opened the box....low and behold there was my necklace that had been lost for ten years. " If only", I think that is one of the most repeated statements of regret in our lives. If only, I had opened the box ten years ago when I first noticed it I could have had my necklace fixed and been enjoying it these many years.

Immediately the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart with these thoughts, "Just as you looked and looked for the necklace, and it was right there all this time safe in your stuff drawer, you ask and ask for my will and way in situations in your life. The answer is always in my Word and your prayers to Me.

We read the Word, maybe one or two chapters, and pray for a few minutes and if the answer does not come immediately we get discouraged. The secret, No there is no secret to what God can and will do, the answer is do not do as I did with the little porcelain box just wonder what is in it and put it aside, but to open the box, look into its contents.

When the Holy Spirit prompts us to read the Word and pray, He does not mean for five or ten minutes, He means TO READ THE WORD AND PRAY UNTIL THE ANSWER COMES FROM THE VERY THRONE OF GOD TO US.

Dear precious readers, we must make the time each day to read His Word, and to speak with Him in prayer, not just "now I lay me down to sleep prayer", but fervent Prayer, the kind of prayer that brings us His answers that we need. I do not mean just randomly read the Word, but with a purpose and a made up mind to devour His Word. They are our instructions to live in this day and time, to make His Word such a part of our vocabulary and life that we become as prophets of old, declaring His love for us and also the wrath that is to come during the time of tribulation.

His Word to us declares His Unlimited Love for us. A love so powerful that He freely gave His life on the cross to die for our sins and to make provision through His shed blood on that cross, that if we just believe in Him as our Savior, He will apply His Blood to our sins and make them white as snow.

If you have never accepted Jesus as your Personal Savior just stop now and pray this prayer, "Dear Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner, please cover all my sins with the blood you shed for me on the cross, and make my life new and white as snow. I believe you are the Son of God, I now accept you as my Personal Savior, I will live each day exclusively for you, I will read your Word and Pray every day, thank you for saving me and making me one of your children." Amen

Now that you have accepted Him as your Personal Savior, find a Bible believing Church and start attending regularly, we must have fellowship with other Christians they will pray for you and help you to get your "feet on the ground" and to grow as Christian.

When we accept Him as our Savior, we no longer live for ourselves, but we live exclusively for Him and for what He wants us to do for His Honor and Glory. Dear Reader do not think of this as a hard task He has promised in His Word that when we let Him put His yoke on us and become in yoke with Him, He has promised "that His yoke is easy and His burden is light." being in yoke with Jesus is the only way we can live in this present world and be at complete peace and be completely happy.

I love you and pray for you daily. I hope for you a full life in God and His abundant blessings,
Love Gloria
Philippians 4:13 Amplified Version

My dear readers as a child of God are you sick and tired of being sick and tired of letting satan buffet you around We read God's Word and pray, and then we still succumb to satan's tactics as by letting him get us into a pity party of all the things we see in our lives that we cannot just wave a magic wand and correct. Our biggest flaw in our walk with Jesus Christ is that we want Him to correct our problems and do it now. We want Him to pour a cup of water on the problem stick it in the microwave and in 3-5 minutes viola' the problem is gone. So we begin to ask ourselves do I really have the faith to let God be my Strong Mighty Tower, can I really run to Him and hide in the cleft of the Rock He has prepared for His children?

God spoke to my spirit by His Holy Spirit this morning and asked me, "My child do you really really trust me in ALL things, the most impossible things in your life? Things that are not the "norm" to turn around. I stopped a moment and I felt the almighty power of the Glory of God fill my whole being and I wanted to just let go and let God. I prayed LORD I DO BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN MOVE ANY MOUNTAIN, HEAL ANY DISEASE, YOU CAN HEAL SOMETHING THAT HAS NEVER BEEN HEALED BEFORE. YOU CAN CAST DOWN ANY BARRIER, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU. NOW LORD HELP MY UNBELIEF!

The Holy Spirit loved and renewed me and showed me that I do not have the answers, but that I know the one that has all the answers. God will deliver in His time and according to His Will for me. BUT that I must TRUST HIM, TRUST HIM, TRUST HIM. I must tell Him everything, my desires, my needs, confess my failures, even though He already knows them all, He wants us to be completely honest with Him, this is the only way He can work in our life. Then trust Him to bring about what I want Him to change in my life. He reminded me, that first I must be willing to let Him CHANGE ME INTO WHAT HE WANTS ME TO BE. I must be so strong in His Word, I must not only read His Word, but I must devour it, I must digest it into my spirit. I must be in constant communication with Him in prayer. I will turn over my whole life for Him to remold into the child HE KNOWS I CAN BE AND THAT HE WANTS ME TO BE.

Sometimes the problems in life are a cause of something that we are not willing to let go of, but GOD MUST CONTROL OUR MIND, OUR BODY AND OUR THOUGHTS AND MOST OF ALL OUR SPIRIT.

Dear reader we must always be aware that even though we do not see into the Spirit World of God it is all around us all the time."When the servant of the man of God rose early and went out, behold an army with horses and chariots (the enemy) were around the city. Elisha's servant said to him, Alas my master! What shall we do? [Elisha] answered, Fear not: for those with us are more than those with them. (Their enemies). Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray you open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and he saw and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." 2 Kings 6:15,16,17 KJV. We must know without a shadow of a doubt that God has His Guardian Angels and His Warrior Angels around you and me all the time. We must always know that we are protected we need to always ask God to let us feel his Angels that are protecting us and to love God even more because He provides this for each of His Children. Thank God for the care He provides for each of us every single second. Even though we do not always see it, always be proud and thank Him for His protection. Let His Love surround you and take hold of your mind and be willing to let God work out our problems in His Time, remember His Time does not always go along with our time, but if we let Him do the work by Himself He will work it out JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME. WE MUST NEVER TRY TO HELP HIM (This has been hard for me to learn and I have made many a problem worse, just because I wanted to help God just a little bit, it never has and it never will work). OUR TRIUNE GOD IS SOVEREIGN. GOD, HIS SON JESUS, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE CAPABLE OF HANDLING PROBLEMS AND SITUATIONS ALONE, ALL WE NEED TO DO IS TRUST AND BELIEVE THAT HE IS WORKING IN OUR LIVES TO SEE THE PROBLEMS RESOLVED, AND WHEN THEY ARE RESOLVED WE BECOME AS HE WOULD HAVE US TO BE A TRUE LIVING TESTIMONY OF A TRUE AND TRIED AND VICTORIOUS CHILD OF GOD.

God never leads us through a trial that is not for his Honor and Glory. So, when your trial is victoriously past, you may not see the reason for the terrible turmoil of the trial that God led you through, but you will see in yourself a deeper faith, Spiritual growth and a deeper trust in God and His ability to keep you through anything.

It may be years or just a few days before you meet someone that is going through the same trial and test that God led you through and your testimony of God's keeping and leading power through the test will be of immeasurable value to them. It may be the one thing that keeps them from giving up during the trial. Always give God the Glory for His leading and saving and keeping power over you every day. Love Gloria
But rejoice inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His Glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." I Peter 4:12.13 KJV

I have always loved the book of Job, just imagine that God would have so much confidence in a man that He in His ALL KNOWING POWER, knew that Job would praise God even unto death. I have never asked to be tested like Job. But when God puts a mountain in my path, I pray for strength, courage, and faith to climb that mountain every step of the way.

God keeps us from many dangers and trials every day, I am not always faithful to thank Him daily for these enormous blessings, but I intend to be thankful from now on. God is always true to His word, but also knows His children so well. He knows that we must keep our spiritual bodies built up and in good health. Just as we keep our human bodies in good health.

Every trial that comes into our life either has one or two reasons:
1. We neglected our spiritual life by not reading His Word every day. (Yes, you do have time to sit down a few minutes EVERY day to read His WORD and to pray.) i.e., Keep a Bible in the bathroom, on the back of the throne is a good place. I mean you are just sitting there looking down at your feet right? Leave off an episode of TV, I mean it will be on again tomorrow. I love reading the Psalms in all the versions. Pray while you are driving to and from work, or while you are running errands, or waiting in line at the store, pray for those around you, you don't have to pray out loud unless you want to, if you do hey fine with me probably with them also you may be the only one who has prayed for them that whole day. Read the WORD, I love to study with all my versions around me and read the scripture from each version. I am somewhat of a Bible junkie, I especially love the slender thin ones that you can put in your Bible and journal devotion bag and carry with you. I also love good devotion books. I love the ones that lift me up with powerful words from THE WORD. Some of my favorites are Oswald Chambers. (you must get his old one and the new revised one), The God Calling Journal by A. J. Russell, All of Sarah Young's devotional books are sooo worth buying. The devotion books by Cindy Trimm are awesome and also Max Lucado has lots and lots of wonderful faith building devotion books.

I especially love the beauty of the KJV, it is my "go-to" Bible, when the world has turned up-side down and I lay prostrate on the floor asking God to let it somehow build my faith so I can deal with the problem. I just love to read the KJV and pray until God's Holy Spirit calms my spirit and lets me know that it is in His hands and no matter if I can not make heads or tails of it, God will see me through oh, Hallelujah!! Our God is an awesome God.
2. God wants to receive Honor and Glory out of our trials; and when God says "ENOUGH" and the trial is over we will be as fine gold, refined in the fire. found in 1 Peter 1:7 KJV
When The Holy Spirit reveals to us that this mountain we MUST climb, REMEMBER, the poem written by Margaret Fishback Powers, "Footprints". From the day we ask Jesus to be our Savior and the Lord of our lives and we let His Precious Blood cover ALL our past sins, we become a new person in Him. We then commit the rest of our lives to serving Him, if we could see into the spirit world we would see two sets of foot prints, ours, and Jesus's walking along beside us every step of the way.

The last verse of the Footprints poem asks the question, "Lord when looking back on my life with you I see two sets of footprints, until I come to the parts of my life when the most fiery trials, the most horifying times in my life occured. Then there is only one set of footprints, When I needed you the most Lord why did you leave me?"

"He whispered, "My precious child I love you and will never, leave you never, ever, and during your trials and testings, when you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you." (an exerpt from Footprints)

When we are climbing up that mountain, take one step at a time. If you come to a place that you don't see how you can go any farther up, then stop, stand still and sing ( I really am going to practice yodeling.)

When Paul and Silas were beaten with many stripes for preaching about Jesus they were thrown in jail and their feet were fastened into stocks. At the midnight hour Paul and Silas sang songs of glory and praise unto God, the jail was shaken the bands fell off all the prisoners. The jailer was going to kill himself because the prisoners were freed from their chains and stocks, but Paul cried with a loud voice , "do thyself no harm for we are all here. The jailer saw God in Paul and Sila. He asked, "Sirs what must I do to be saved?" he and his household were saved because Paul and Silas sang and gave glory to God even climbing up their mountain. Taken from Acts 16, KJV

My precious readers my prayer is that if you are climbing a mountain now or one is in your future, ask God for strength to climb one step at a time, sing, yodel, pray and read your Bible. Remember as it says in the Bible several times, "This too shall pass." Always be faithful, I did not say be perfect, if you stumble on a rock on the mountain, ask God to forgive you and show you where the next foothold is, rest a little while and continue on in God..

He will make us perfect when we get to Heaven. Just be Faithful to Him and don't forget to yodel.

Remember God loves you and so do I, Love Gloria

This morning I was watching a documentary on TV about Gene Autry, immediately it brought me back a LOT of years to my childhood.

I never had an older brother, but my first cousin Jerry was only four months younger than me, and lived just beside me. We lived on what was called a row of houses built close together. Jerry was my brother in spirit in my heart, he was also my very best friend in all the world, we played together every day.

The reason the documentary on Gene Autry was so real to me is that, every Saturday, both theaters in my home town had cowboy movies, one theater cost a dime to see the movie and the other cost a nickle, so we always chose the nickle theatre. There was always a cowboy movie most times a cop's and robber's movie and a continued serial which always ended in a cliff hanger so we couldn't wait to see if Tarzan or Nyoka the Jungle Girl or who ever was the star of the cliff hanger got saved from the certain death that they were facing when the cliff hanger ended the Saturday before, of course the next week they always got saved just to face certain death on the present Saturday. Most Saturdays we had to walk to town but what was a mile and half back then, just a good exercise.

You could go when the theater opened and stay all day if you wanted, and of course we wanted too. I mean no one had TV and all the other entertainments children have now. And now of course I am told you can only see the movie one time and then you have to leave.

If Jerry or I had an extra nickle we would buy a coke and share it, or if we only had two nickles to get in the movie, a drink of water from the fountain would suffice.

After leaving the theatre, (we were always told to be home before dark,) we would discuss every scene in the movies on the way home.

All the next week we would pretend to be the characters in the movies and sometime we would change some of the plot to suit us better, but such wonderful times we had re-playing those movies together and in our minds we would go away into pretend land and just be children and live life to the fullest. Just being Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Rex Allen, Tex Ritter, Rocky Lane or even Fuzzy Q. Jones or Gabby Hayes. there were so many that I can't remember but every one took us into that wonderful world of pretend where everything is perfect and you can make things just like you want them to be, and helped us to build our imaginations of how we would have ended the movie had we been given the chance.

Most Sunday's we attended Sunday School, the church was just across the dirt road in front of our houses. and every Sunday evening at six o'clock, there was choir practice and Jerry and I knew that they always served refreshments after practice, we would attend. Never would we be told to leave, or that we were too young. The precious choir members and the choir leader just let us join in and they always invited us for refreshments, of course we gladly accepted. You never know when you help nurture a child what God will do in their lives. "Who ever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me." Matthew 18:5 NKJV.

Dear Readers, take a moment and go back into the pages of your life, especially your childhood and remember some of the wonderful things that maybe you have not thought about in years, believe me a trip down memory lane thinking of those you loved and still love is the best trip of all.

Written to you with all my love, Gloria
